Seventeen Scandinavian brands have been handpicked to showcase during menswear trade show Pitti Uomo as part of its ‘Scandinavian Manifesto’ project.
Located in Arena Strozzi at the Fortezza da Basso during Pitti Uomo 94, the 17 brands range from emerging talents like Mfpen, Johannes Adele, Newline Halo, Schnayderman’s and Tonsure, to more established names like Hope, Norse Projects and Filippa K.
The other confirmed Scandinavian brands in the line-up are: Uniforms for the Dedicated, Whyred, Mucker, Blanche, Velour, Rue de Tokyo, Packmack, Forét, Organic Basics and Newline Halo.
“The brands participating as part of Scandinavian Manifesto have been handpicked because of their emphasis on quality, design signature, or sustainability among others,” said Christian Maibom, founder and creative director of Revolver, in a statement. “At the same time, we believe that this selection strongly represents the span of Scandinavian designer-driven menswear fashion.”
Lapo Cianchi, director of communication and special events at Pitti Immagine, added in the press release: "Scouting and research activities in the most interesting countries for contemporary fashion today are part of Pitti Immagine’s DNA.
“The brands selection presented in collaboration with Revolver demonstrates how Scandinavian fashion boasts some of the main factors of success for forward-looking research.
The ‘Scandinavian Manifesto’ marks the first edition of the ongoing project between Pitti Uomo and Revolver and will take place at Pitti Uomo in Florence from June 12-15.
