British menswear and accessories brand Simon Carter is to return to men’s trade show Pitti Uomo after seven years.

In a statement, Simon Carter said that the return to Pitti Uomo was “part of a concerted effort” to build overseas distribution, looking to add to its existing stockists of: David Jones in Australia; Coin in Italy; Arnotts in Ireland; and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands.

The label also operates in 20 countries and sells through India and Japan via licensing agreements. In the UK, Simon Carter has five standalone stores as well as being stocked at department stores including Liberty, Harvey Nichols, Fenwick, and Fortnum and Mason.

Each season, Simon Carter introduces over fifty new shirt patterns on a tailored, contemporary shirting block, with four collar styles and three cuff styles options. The majority of the shirts are made in Southern Europe, using the finest cotton cloths sourced from established European mills.

The brand said that it would showcase the Simon Carter shirt collection at the international men’s fashion fair in Florence this month, which features a colourful and eclectic selection of prints that mixes the subtle with the extravagant that the label is known for.

For spring/summer 2019, the range includes colourful small-scale prints featuring exotic animals and insects, cheerful beach pattern and nostalgic summer holiday prints, alongside a festival of art-inspired Liberty florals.

Simon Carter will be showcased at Pitti Uomo at stand #24, Sala Alfa on the lower floor of the Padiglione Centrale, from June 12 to 15.
