Danilo Piarulli is the new chief executive officer of Autry.

"The appointment marks a significant step in Autry's evolution. The brand aims to capitalise on the international growth recorded in recent years through an increasingly structured and agile approach to developing direct retail, selective distribution, geographical expansion and brand consolidation," a statement explained.

“This is a forward-looking choice, which I consider a natural evolution of our corporate organisation,” said Roberta Benaglia, chief executive officer of Style Capital and chairwoman of Autry.

Piarulli has over a decade of experience managing the growth and international development of global brands. The executive joins Autry after 13 years at Golden Goose, where he held several leadership roles, eventually becoming chief consumer officer and an executive member of the board of directors.

The executive began his career in finance, gaining experience at companies like PwC before moving into the fashion sector, first at Geox and later at Golden Goose. At Golden Goose, he progressively expanded his responsibilities. He started as chief financial officer and later focused on business development, brand strategy and international markets. This demonstrated a comprehensive vision for the organisational and commercial challenges associated with growing a premium brand.

“He is a manager with a strategic vision who is also extremely operational and focused on execution: processes, people, control and orderly growth. The combination of intuition and execution, along with his deep knowledge of the premium lifestyle sector and experience in the various stages of a company's development, make Danilo the ideal profile for Autry. The brand will continue to strengthen its organisation; expand its retail with discipline; maintain distribution selectivity; grow its identity and focus on internationalisation,” Benaglia continued.

“The brand's fundamentals, encapsulated in an exceptional product positioned in a protected and favourable price range, deserve to find the right acceleration in international development. This should be guided by an imagery and narrative capable of speaking directly and empathetically to the consumer, making them fall in love with genuine, unadulterated values. In the transition from a product-driven success to a truly global brand, there is only one natural strategic response: getting ever closer to the end customer through the development of direct-to-consumer,” Piarulli explained.

Style Capital acquired a controlling stake in Autry in 2024. The brand has seen rapid growth, reaching a turnover of 150 million, driven by the wholesale channel, an already consolidated digital presence and the promising development of its retail network.

The company currently has 12 stores across Europe and Asia. It aims to progressively develop its direct retail network, seizing further opportunities in strategic international markets, with a particular focus on the US, South Korea and Japan.
