British footwear brand Dr Martens has announced the appointment of Katie Morton as global customer director. Morton will officially join the business on October 26, 2026, reporting directly to chief brand officer Carla Murphy.
In her new role, Morton will be responsible for strengthening the company's consumer-centric approach globally. She will also join the leadership team to support the business in executing its Levers for Growth strategy and reinforcing consumer insight within its operating model.
"Katie has an outstanding track record helping some of the world's most iconic brands better understand and serve their consumers," said Murphy. "Together with the recent appointments across our product and brand leadership teams, Katie's arrival strengthens our ability to better understand our consumers, respond to their evolving needs and create memorable brand experiences."
Morton brings over two decades of experience in consumer, omnichannel and business transformation across the fashion and retail sectors. She spent more than 17 years at luxury label Burberry, where she held various global leadership positions, most recently serving as global vice president of online to offline. More recently, she worked as an independent consultant advising brands such as department store Fortnum & Mason.
The appointment follows other recent additions to the leadership team at Dr Martens, including Isadora Versiani as global product design director and Nadia Svensson as global merchandising and product director.
