Fendi appoints Giuseppe Oliveri as MD retail & wholesale

Fendi has announced that Giuseppe Oliveri is stepping into the role of Managing Director retail & wholesale, effective July 1, 2018, vacated by Charles Delapalme, who is moving as Managing Director in charge of commercial activities to Christian Dior Couture, effective June 15, 2018, reports APN News quoting a company statement.

The report added that based in Rome, Oliveri will directly report to Serge Brunschwig – Chairman & CEO of the company. After 12 years in the banking sector working for Banca di Roma in Italy, Brussels, Paris and Hong Kong, in 2001, Oliveri made a move to the retail sector gaining a vast experience at Benetton and Stefanel in Hong Kong and later Versace as managing director Asia Pacific. In 2015 he joined Christian Dior Couture as managing director China, the position he currently holds.

In February this year, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton appointed Serge Brunschwig as the new Chairman and Chief Executive of Fendi. Reuters reported that reporting into Toni Belloni, LVMH Group Managing Director, Brunschwig replaced Pietro Beccari, who was named Chairman and CEO of LVMH’s Christian Dior Couture in November last year.
