Flipkart’s Michael Adnani joins Styletag as CEO

Michael Adnani, Vice President of the commerce platform and head strategic alliances, Flipkart, has moved on to women’s fashion and lifestyle portal Styletag as its chief executive officer.

Adnani quit Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce site last October. At Styletag, he will spearhead strategy, marketing, products and technology as well as lead fundraising rounds. He comes with a wealth of knowledge of the e-commerce sector as well as experience from other organisations. Styletag is hopeful that his exposure to the Indian market and experience in the Bay Area will bring in fresh ideas and perspectives to push the brand towards rapid acceleration, expansion and consolidation. Adnani holds more than 30 years of experience in retail and e-commerce, merchandising, management, marketing and sales from his earlier associations with Flipkart, Sears Holdings, Nextag, Overstock and other companies.

Styletag is based in Bengaluru and is presently operational in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. It was founded by Sanjay and Yashodhara Shroff, Vivek SP, Prashanth HN and Soujanya Sreenath.
