Global Fashion Group (GFG) has appointed ex-Guess CEO Victor Herrero to its board as non-executive director and chairman of the sustainability committee.
The group, which owns international ecommerce platforms such as The Iconic, Zalora, Dafiti and Lamoda, said that Herrero’s experience in developing and implementing market entry and expansion strategies, and on innovation through digital enhancement, will help boost its understanding of customer insights.
Prior to working at Guess, Herrero was head of Asia Pacific at Inditex Group, where he spent more than 12 years.
“I am very pleased that Victor has joined the GFG Board. His wealth of experience in the fashion industry and across GFG’s operating regions will be extremely positive for the Group,” Cynthia Gordon, chairman of the board, said in a statement.
“I am truly excited about the future of GFG with Victor on the Board and look forward to working together on the next stages of GFG’s development.”
Commenting on his new position, Herrero added: “I am thrilled to have joined the GFG Board. Having worked with GFG during my time as CEO at Guess, I am really excited about the future of the company and am looking forward to working with the other members of the Board and the broader management team on the next phase of GFG’s development.”
