Joseph Alkire assumes expanded role as Kontoor Brands president and CFO

US-based apparel company Kontoor Brands has appointed Joseph Alkire to the role of president and chief financial officer, effective immediately.

In his expanded role, Alkire will maintain global responsibilities for the Helly Hansen brand and will expand his oversight to include the Wrangler brand. In addition, he will continue in his role as chief financial officer and maintain oversight over the company’s global operations.

“Joe has been an exceptional partner in driving Kontoor's growth and transformation, and this expanded role reflects both what he's already delivered and the confidence the Board and I have in his ability to build on that success,” said chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors, Scott Baxter. “We've reached an important inflection point in our value creation journey, and we're aligning our portfolio under one leader with the operational and financial expertise to deliver on our ambitions.”

Alkire has served as a key member of the executive leadership team since joining US-based Kontoor Brands in 2023, playing an instrumental role in shaping strategic and financial direction. Alkire will continue to report directly to Baxter.
