LVMH-owned Emilio Pucci has announced the departure of Massimo Giorgetti within two years of joining the company, a report by Vogue states. The Italian designer plans to focus on his own label MSGM now. Pucci roped him in 2015, after then artistic director Peter Dundas departed the label. The company has not named a replacement for Giorgetti yet.
“This experience with Emilio Pucci, one of the most representative and historic brands in fashion, was an inspiring journey that has also contributed to my professional growth,” Giorgetti was quoted in a company release, who further added, “Today, my brand needs more and more of my attention and all my energy.”
Giorgetti’s style of designing that included bright colours akin to the street styles had received mixed reviews from the fashion critics, since his according to them, his styles missed the Pucci’s signature mark, Vogue reports.
Resort 2018 will be Giorgetti’s final collection for Pucci.
