sports giant Nike has appointed Alexandre Arnault to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Arnault currently serves as deputy chief executive officer of Moët Hennessy, the wines and spirits division of French luxury conglomerate LVMH, a position he has held since February 2025.

“Alexandre has earned a reputation for helping iconic global brands evolve, innovate and grow in a changing, complex marketplace,” said Mark Parker, executive chairman of Nike. Parker added that Arnault’s leadership across respected brands will make him a strong addition to the board as part of the company’s commitment to thoughtful governance.

Strategic addition to board

Arnault brings extensive experience in digital transformation, innovation and brand development. Before his current role at Moët Hennessy, he spent four years as executive vice president of product, communications and industrial at jewellery brand Tiffany & Co., where he played a key role in revitalising the company.

Prior to his tenure at Tiffany & Co., Arnault spearheaded LVMH’s acquisition of German luggage brand Rimowa and served as its CEO for four years, transforming its business model and brand positioning. Earlier in his career, he focused on digital innovation and technology investment at LVMH and Agache, following positions at McKinsey & Company and KKR.

“Alexandre understands how some of the world's most influential brands stay relevant, deepen consumer connections and drive long-term growth,” said Elliott Hill, president and CEO of Nike. Hill noted that Arnault’s background will assist the business in accelerating its next phase of global growth.

Arnault currently holds a seat on the board of directors at LVMH and serves as a trustee of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has previously served on the boards of French retail group Carrefour, German footwear brand Birkenstock and Italian luxury label Moncler.
