Puma names Matthias Mecking as new GM Teamsport

Sports company Puma has appointed Matthias Mecking as new General Manager Teamsport, effective April 1, 2016. In this position, Mecking will be responsible for managing and marketing Puma's full range of Teamsport products in footwear, apparel and accessories.

He succeeds Filip Trulsson, who will be supporting the onboarding of Matthias Mecking into his new role before transitioning into a new position within Puma.

Mecking, who looks back on almost 20 years of experience in the sports industry, started his career at Adidas in 1996. He held leading positions overseeing the Teamsport business globally in different roles, from product management to marketing. Mecking will be based at Puma's headquarters in Herzogenaurach and will report directly to CEO Bjørn Gulden.
