Ramesh Menon appointed CEO of HyperCity Retail

HyperCITY Retail, a hypermarket chain, announced the appointment of Ramesh Menon as its new CEO. The organisation has made a series of new executive and senior management appointments. Hemant Tarware is the chief operating officer, Yogesh Bisht is the VP-HR and Manoj Jain is VP, marketing, loyalty and visual merchandising.

Menon has over 25 years of cross cultural, general management, experience in multinationals across India, Middle East and Africa. He brings to the company a diverse experience in the areas of FMCG, retail, and manufacturing and telecom. Last he was with Reliance Communications as national head wireless (GSM) operations.

Govind Shrikhande, Managing Director, Shoppers Stop, welcomed the appointment and said that Menon would be responsible for the ‘company’s growth strategy, path to profitability, store operations and more’. This change has come at a time when HyperCity is on the path of profitable sustainable growth.
