Antony Morato forays into India

Italian fashion brand Antony Morato is continuing its international expansion by opening its first flagship store in India, which is located at Palladium Mall in Mumbai, the country's second most important shopping mall. The company announced the foray on Wednesday in a press release.

"This important opening strengthens the brand presence in India. A monobrand store at Palladium Mall is an important gateway into the local market. Such an important location shows us that the Indian market is ready to welcome us with open arms and we can already envision another opening in New Delhi to further expand and support our retail presence in the country," commented Raffaele Caldarelli, chairman and creative director of Antony Morato.

The new store is spread out over an area of 160 square meters and presents the brand's latest collections. The store's interior design is inspired by the guidelines of all international flagship stores - such as the recently opened store at Rue Etienne Marcel 44 in Paris - so that traditional materials and industrial elements are reinterpreted in a contemporary way to highlight the garments and brighten up the retail space.

The official launch party brought together people from across the country, including representatives of the press, bloggers, celebrities and business partners. An Italian café setup and a fashion show provided entertainment and presented the brand's new SS18 collection and attitude.

Antony Morato was founded in 2007 by Raffaele Caldarelli and his two brothers Tania and Giovanni. The brand launched with footwear but soon branched out into leather accessories, sunglasses, underwear and beachwear. Thanks to a retail expansion in 2011, the company opened 30 mono-brand stores in Europe, South America and Asia. In September 2011, it launched children's fashion brand Antony Morato Junior.
