Breakbounce plans to expand aggressively

Streetwear fashion brand Breakbounce is aggressively expanding its presence in the country through online, MBOs and EBOs. In fact, it recently launched an EBO in Vadodara and is planning to launch its own e-commerce site soon. Going strong so far, the brand expects a 30 per cent growth this year.

Breakbounce is targeted at the youth in the age bracket 18-35 years primarily from SEC A+, A, B and urban metro demographics. It is the youth fast fashion that the brand targets. For a brand that only started testing the market in 2012, in collaboration with Myntra.com, it has come a long way. Breakbounce has created a nationwide market penetration across 140 plus doors. Since 2013, it has been retailing through large format retail chains such as Lifestyle, Splash Fashion, Central and e-commerce platforms like Myntra, Flipkart, Jabong, Abof and Koovs.

Breakbounce plans to launch a flagship outlet in Bengaluru soon that would provide customers an experiential zone. The company hopes to bring streetwear in all forms of visual, creative and experiential concepts. With a turnoverof Rs 50 crores in 2015-16, Breakbounce is looking at EBOs and flagship stores to reach out to customers. However, there are challenges that it must face such as huge discounts in the online e-commerce segment and quality of real estate in the brick-and-mortar segment.
