Co-optex launches indigo-dyed saris this festive season

Co-optex, the Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers' Cooperative Society has introduced a wide range of linen, organic, cotton and silk saris, linen and naturally-dyed cotton shirts and readymades for Diwali. Men’s wear comprises linen shirts, pure silk shirts and silk dhotis, lungis, dhotis and towels. For the home there are bed sheets, carpets, footrests, bedspreads, cotton carpets, tabletop and door mats.
Kora cotton, synthetic saris, fancy saris and silk-cotton saris are also on display to draw customers of all ages. Indigo-dye saris are a range in the organic cotton sari collection. Co-optex It works for the upliftment of rural handloom weavers and offers a 30 per cent rebate on most of the products.
Co-optex had sold goods worth Rs 23.63 crores through 20 sales outlets in Madurai zone last fiscal. The target for this fiscal is Rs 30 crores. Sales during last year at three shops in Dindigul were Rs 2.19 crores. The target for Diwali sale for these shops is set at Rs 2.55 crores. Co-optex has outlets in places like Coimbatore, Chennai, Pune, Madurai, Mumbai and Bangalore. It also sells products through three e-commerce portals and its website.
