Craftsvilla launches brand Anuswara

The largest online ethnic-wear platform Craftsvilla, has launched its third in-house women ethnic wear brand Anuswara that offers craft inspired contemporary ethnic wear for women. The brand draws inspiration from the various crafts of India and gives them a contemporary look and feel. With the commencement of the new clothing line, Avanya and Jharoka which were the two in-house brands, were launched last year.
Announcing the launch of Anuswara, Manoj Gupta, Co-founder, Craftsvilla says the company expects 25-30 per cent of sales after the launch of Anuswara. He expects higher margins as well as high valuations in the long term. The portal aims to build the category of stylish ethnic fashion as an independent entity that will offer best quality, design and price for women.
All the three brands of the company are focused towards fulfilling the demands in various segments. The company targets increasing the share of ethnic food and home decor segments to 25 per cent and expects ethnic fashion to contribute 50 per cent to its sales. The ethnic store is funded by venture capital funds including Sequoia Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Global Founders Capital and Apoletto.
