Craftsvilla is looking at launching its in-house branded products next year in food, home decor and fashion. Crafstvilla is an online ethnic fashion, food and home decor marketplace. Eighty per cent of the company’s sales come from the ethnic fashion segment, while ethnic food and home decor contribute about 10 per cent each.

Craftsvilla entered the ethnic food space in early 2016 through its acquisition of Place of Origin, and also entered the home decor segment. In the next three years, it aims to deepen these two categories so that each accounts for 25 per cent of sales, and ethnic fashion contributes 50 per cent. The aim is to build Craftsvilla as a complete ethnic brand and turn profitable in the next six months.

Launched in 2011, the company currently has 25,000 sellers and over four million products listed on its platform. It serves over 20,000 pin codes in the country and is looking at doubling sellers by March 2017 so as to increase sales volume. Craftsvilla is also looking to work with various state governments to promote and market handicrafts.
