Popular denim brand Deal Jeans, which specialises in women and kids’ wear, has been offering a wide variety in denim to women and girls for the last 13 years. Continuing with its new offerings, it is ready with the latest Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. At the same time, the company is planning to expand to Tier II and III cities. Also on the cards are 20 EBOs in the present financial year.

The Autumn/Winter 2016 collection is a blend of fresh pastel hues and trendy patterns crafted in 18 categories ranging from leather jackets to cardigans in top wear and studded denims to comfy culottes in bottom wear. “Innovation in designing women’s wear plays a crucial role in giving women the fresh yet fashionable taste they are in look for when they shop with brands. The styles at Deal Jeans are inspired by ongoing international trends. This season is all about rips and washes. Every style is designed in a mixture of bright hues and pastel shades,” explains Sameer Patel, Chairman, Deal Jeans.

Changing tastes and preferences of women

Growing fashion consciousness among Indian women has turned the western wear segment into a lucrative and highly evolved market. Rise in brand awareness, nuclear families, educated and working *women accessing internet to follow global trends are some of the reasons driving the aggressive growth of women’s western wear segment.

Patel explains, “Today, fashion trends change with a blink of an eye and coping up with changes in fashion has been a concern for brands as the time required in designing and production of styles is more in comparison with the changes in fashion. But brands are now taking efforts to understand international trends and make them available in Indian market within a short span of time.”

Women’s wear a growing market

As per a 2012 report by Technopak Advisors, women’s western wear accounts for 25 per cent of the Rs 78,500 crores women’s wear market. And in the recent past this market has been growing at a 30 per cent CAGR. And Patel says, “Our core strength lies in beautifying our product range every season. We already have 18 product categories in our seasonal collections which may expand in the coming years. Every year, around 1,500 fresh styles are designed to meet the latest fashion trends in women’s wear, so the arrival of global brands has not created much difference for us, as we believe in being the most preferred when it comes to quality, fits, pricing of the product and building brand loyal customers.”

Deal Jeans is present across 1,200 MBO in India. The brand is also present at Shoppers Stop, Central, Globus and other leading LFS counters. Online it is present on Myntra, Shoppers Stop, Amazon, Abof and Snapdeal.
