Delhi witnessed the launch of yet another designer duo, Sunena and Gagan’s Miraaz Fashions. They opened their first store in Karol Bagh with a lot of fanfare. Miraaz is looking at revolutionising the market styles and existing trends.

The idea behind Miraaz was to turn dreams into designs. Gagan and Sunena wanted to turn their ideas/dreams into reality and hence the name. The store name has been taken from the word mirage, which means dreams/hallucination. As Sunena says, they try to convert fairytales into reality to make their customers feel like royalty.

Miraaz will stock traditional, ethnic, Indo-western and western wear. From party gowns, western wear, ethnic dresses, suits, Pakistani suits, cocktail dresses, cape outfits, jumpsuits, hand-painted clutch bags, wooden clutch bags, bridal lehengas and men sherwanis.

Sunena handles the day-to-day work at the store while Gagan handles overseas work, primarily in London. The duo has a huge network of wholesale and retail fashion business in India and abroad. The launch of the store was a glamorous and glitzy affair with models, actors and celebrities present. The evening saw some soulful sufi music playing too.
