London-based fashion label Galvan, known for its contemporary eveningwear and bridal collections, has opened its first international studio and retail space in SoHo, New York.

The retail space follows the same unique model of its headquarters in Notting Hill, London, combining offices, workspace, showroom, archive and bridal atelier in a single studio concept.

“Our philosophy is to put the customer at the core of everything we do, and to make the shopping experience as effortless as possible,” said Paul O'Regan, chief executive officer of Galvan in a press release. “The United States is already our second largest market in terms of direct sales, and New York is the natural first location for our international expansion. We are thrilled to offer a product offering and suite of services that truly address the shopping desires and habits of our North American customers.”

Like in London, the New York studio will allow customer to purchase from the current collection, pre-order from next collection, as well as place orders from Galvan’s archive of previous collections.

In addition, the studio can assist with complimentary fittings for online purchases, as well as offer free home delivery for any purchases made in the studio, and complimentary fittings at home for up to 8 garments, with purchases only being charge after fitting.

The New York Studio is based at 355 West Broadway, New York, and the interior has been curated in partnership with Charles Bals, of Dusseldorf-based creative agency AnotherSlang, and features furniture and artwork from artist and designer Facundo Quinto Huidobro, as well as key pieces from designer Mario Milana.

Galvan launched in 2014 by four women from the worlds of fashion and contemporary art, Anna-Christin Haas, Sola Harrison, Carolyn Hodler, and Katherine Holmgren. The contemporary label is stocked globally including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Opening Ceremony, Bergdorf Goodman, Elyse Walker, Boutique 1, Avenue 32 and Moda Operandi, as well as online at matchesfashion.com and Net-a-Porter.
