Jammu gets a multi-brand sports store ‘Sports Station’

Jammu has a new multi-brand store. SSIPL, a known name in footwear manufacturing and retailing, launched a multi-brand sports store Sports Station in Jammu and Kashmir’s winter capital Jammu. The store will house a host of international sports brands as well as sports shoes, accessories and equipments under one roof.

Sports Station is positioned as a sports specialty brand hub which aims to provide an elevated service and and retail experience to the customers. The lime punch colour gives the store a sporty and athletic feel at the store in line with its positioning. The international brands at the stores comprise Nike, Asics, Adidas, Reebok, Puma, Sketchers, Converse, Crocs, Solomon and Lotto. Even Speedo and Wildcraft are showcased at the stores. The stores houses everything related to sports such as sports shoes, apparel, accessories and sports equipment.

The brand has 45 stores across India. As Pooja K Sood, Business Head, Sports Station, points out, the company will steadily increase their retail footprint across India and become synonymous with sports and fitness for Indians. The aim of Sports Station is to make people more fitness conscious and raise the standard of sports and athletics in the country.

The SSIPL group has two decades of experience in retailing of international sports brands. Nike was launched by the group in India. It also manufactures footwear for several international sports brands such as Nike, Puma, Bata and Lotto. It is also engaged in licensing/distribution of Lotto and Nike fitness equipment in India. In India, the first Sports Station was opened in 2015 in New Delhi and already it has opened nearly 50 stores across the country.
