LimeRoad launches festive campaign with a unique social message

LimeRoad, the Gurgaon-based e-commerce platform has launched its festive campaign ‘Mission: One Crore: Pledge a saree. Pledge a smile.’ The intent is to get India to pledge one crore saris which can then be distributed to under-privileged women in the country, the company said in a statement. To take forward the initiative, the company is partnering with Facebook and Goonj. And for the collection, the company has set up 200 collection points across India, the company noted.

Suchi Mukherjee, Founder and CEO, LimeRoad says ‘Pledge a smile’, is the company’s way of driving responsible consumerism. While the company’s business continues to grow in a healthy month-on-month basis, this festive season it is urging Indians to not merely buy for themselves but to pause, think and pledge for others who are less fortunate. As per the company statement, the e-commerce player has kick-started the campaign by contributing 12,000 fresh products to Goonj.
