Mango to reopen new format stores, first store to open in Delhi

Mango plans to open around 30 stores pan India in metros in the next three to five years. It maybe recalled that Mango had shut India stores after its franchise partnership with DLF Brands ended. Myntra, the fashion e-tailer has now bagged principal supply management rights for Mango. As Shifali Singh, Vice President-International Business, Myntra and Mango, India Head says, Myntra has a relation with Mango Barcelona for last three years when they bagged online rights for their distribution in India in 2014, and the online business was growing at 100 per cent.

The new format Mango stores will open in Delhi by end of September in Saket followed by Palladium in Mumbai within one month. As for future offline retail expansion plans for the brand she said in the next three to five years, they plan to open around 30 stores pan India in key cities and wish to keep it more as the right shopping experience zone for the brand. In next six month, we will have eight brand new stores ready for our shoppers. According to her almost 45 per cent of the business comes from tier II and III cities of India.
