Manish Malhotra to open the India Couture Week 2016

It’s like homecoming for ace designer Manish Malhotra. Six years after his journey in Delhi began with the India Couture Week, he is all set to open the latest edition of India Couture Week (ICW) 2016 to be held from July 20-14 in New Delhi.
The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announced that Malhotra will be the opening designer for the ICW 2016. Sunil Sethi, president, FDCI says that Malhotra’s association with the FDCI has been special. By opening for the ICW, he will set the rhythm for the show with his stunning rendition of true Indian craftsmanship and unmatched elegance. Sethi expects Malhotra to set a new benchmark for sophistication with his dreamy silhouettes.
Malhotra’s label celebrates 11 years this July and it was with the ICW that he introduced his designs to Delhi’s fashion savvy. As people became familiar with his designs, his work started doing very well with multi-designer stores. As the designer known for dressing the stars of Bollywood says, ICW is most special to him as it has been supportive of his journey to Delhi.
Malhotra’s designs have been seen in movies such as Rangeela, Dil To Pagal Hai, Dil Se.., Raja Hindustani, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dhadkan and Kaho Naa.. Pyar Hai.
