Online T-shirts portal, Teesort hopes to earn Rs 100 crores this fiscal year, after it made Rs 30 crores in the last fiscal year. Also, it plans to expand its footprint in Bangalore and open a warehouse there in the next five to six months.
Teesort receives 3,000 orders on an average per day. So far, the company has delivered more than two million orders. At least 75 per cent of its business comes from Tier II and III cities, primarily from North and South India. It is now planning to make an aggressive push to promote its TSX brand in smaller cities. Also, it will focus more on digital and print advertising in both national and regional publications. Already Rs 10 crores has been allocated for marketing initiatives for the next financial year.
Teesort was started by Delhi-based Alok Agarwal in 2011 with a seed capital of Rs 50 lakh which was used in its initial three years of operation. He wanted to fill the gap that existed in smaller towns and cities regarding availability of latest fashion products. When Teesort crossed the Rs 1 crore sales mark in 2013, Alok’s brother Atul Agarwal joined in after quitting his job. He was working with TCS in France while Alok had worked with Vodafone, Bharti Teletech and MTS.
Teesort allows customers to not just buy T-shirts but choose and print their favourite designs on T-shirts, jackets, track pants and more. It works with more than 16 manufacturers across India, and tie-ups with 13 logistics partners helps it to deliver order within 72 hours. Nearly 10-12 per cent of their revenues goes towards their logistics partners.
