Iconic Swiss leather brand Bally has now opened its first store in India. For the upwardly mobile Indian consumer the wait was long but finally it’s over. Bally has opened a spanking new store Delhi’s luxe mall DLF Emporio, in partnership with Reliance Brands. The store is almost like a Disneyland for modern leather goods.

Founded in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally the brand makes fine crafted leather shoes. Bally has collaborated with Le Corbusier and graffiti artist Andre Saraiva and offers everything from rich leather jackets to studded high tops. At Bally, you might never want to leave. Ben Affleck, Gerard Butler and Zayn Malik are among its famous clients and its Delhi store is bursting with objects to investigate, touch, and try on: wallets, backpacks and sneakers, bearing the brand’s triple strip. In an age when you can buy anything and everything online, a great store has to be more than a place to spend money. It’s got to be a place to spend time.
