Trendstalk Autumn Winter 2016-17 launched by Flipkart

Flipkart has announced the launch of Trendstalk Autumn Winter 2016-17 edition. It is aimed at empowering local sellers to create and sell products at par with global brands. What is interesting is that Trendstalk will offer sellers global fashion trends and forecasts in partnership with WGSN, which is a global trend authority for fashion and creative industries and National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

India’s largest e-commerce company Flipkart will garner from real time information from WGSN and offer sellers with top global trend analytics. The team at Flipkart and WGSN will work closely to guide sellers with real actionable insights on latest fashion trends that are making waves around the globe. In addition, the e-tailer will bring together a group of 30 designers from NIFT and independent fashion consultants to develop design illustrations and tech-packs exclusively for fashion category sellers.

Last year Trendstalk had helped to make fashion insights more accessible to their seller base. So far, over 50 sellers have adopted this platform and created 2000 styles which are available on Flipkart. The latest edition, feels Rishi Vasudev, VP –Fashion, Flipkart, will help sellers create a niche for themselves in the cluttered market of fashion offerings.

As Vasudev stresses this will not only democratise fashion for all small and medium sized sellers but also guide sellers to make their own mark in the online space. Initiatives like these offer sellers the opportunity to understand the evolving fashion industry and streamline their collections to suit the needs of every customer.
