Westside opens fourth store in Kolkata

Tata Trent’s department store chain Westside has launched its 126th store in India and its 4th in Kolkata. Spread over 27,000 sq. ft. the outlet offers a comprehensive range of contemporary apparel, footwear, cosmetics and much more all under one roof. The store also features Studio West, offering an exclusive range of beauty products for the contemporary Indian woman with an extensive range of cosmetics, fragrances and bath and body products.

Philip Auld, Managing Director, Trent says with the new they aim to position Westside as a leading fashion destination in Kolkata and endeavour to provide an unmatched shopping experience to all our customers. Auld says they plan to open around 10 stores in this region this year and pan India, the count will go up to 25 stores by the end of 2018. Westside follows certain store formats: if it is in larger metros, it is generally around 20,000-25,000 sq. ft. and in Tier II cities it is around 15,000 sq ft in size.
