Video: Nude Project's New York debut with co-founder Bruno Casanovas
In this video, Bruno Casanovas, co-founder of Nude Project, documents the opening of the Barcelona-based brand's first pop-up in New York at 42 Greene Street (SoHo), and reviews its journey with university students.
Casanovas, aged 26, launched the company at 19 with his partner Alex Benlloch, each with 300 euros, a Shopify website and T-shirts printed at home. Today, it has 11 stores in Europe and around 250 employees. The opening attracted around 400 people and became the best-selling pop-up in its history.
The underlying idea is community as a driver of growth: every customer is a potential ambassador. For Casanovas, who grew up between Spain, Indonesia and Portugal, a unique point of view is what distinguishes a brand in a market saturated with sweatshirts.
