2026 most valuable top 100 fashion brands
The FashionUnited Index of Most Valuable Fashion Brands ranks the largest fashion brands in the world by brand value. In 2026 Hermès takes first place for the first time, with a brand value of 45 billion dollars, ahead of Louis Vuitton and Chanel. Together, the ten most valuable brands are worth 222.3 billion dollars, almost half of the 451 billion dollars that the full top 100 is worth.
The top ten consists of the same ten brands as last year, but in a different order. Six of them are luxury houses: Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, Rolex and Dior. Nike and Adidas represent sportswear, while Zara and UNIQLO are the two fast fashion brands in the top ten.

Hermès overtakes Louis Vuitton
Hermès climbs to first place, with a brand value that rose over 40 percent. The French house scores especially high in the market-based measures and its stock market value, which place it well above its rivals.
Louis Vuitton, last year's number one, drops to second place with 36.7 billion dollars. Chanel (29.0 billion dollars) and Nike (26.7 billion dollars) each move down one place, to third and fourth.
Zara remains the most valuable fast fashion brand at number five, with a brand value of 20.4 billion dollars. Cartier rises from ninth to seventh place, while Rolex moves from seventh to ninth. Dior completes the top ten for the second year in a row.
The ten luxury, sportswear and fast fashion brands are spread across six countries. France leads with Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier and Dior, followed by the United States (Nike), Spain (Zara), Germany (Adidas), Japan (UNIQLO) and Switzerland (Rolex).
Off-price retail and performance footwear gain ground
Off-price retailers are strongly represented in the 2026 index. Ross Dress for Less climbs to number 14 with a brand value of 6.8 billion dollars, while TJ Maxx is up from 34th to 17th place. Burlington is also new to the top 100, at number 60. Performance and outdoor brands form another growing group. Swiss running brand On enters at number 23 with 4.0 billion dollars.
More Asian brands in the index
The index includes more Asian brands than last year. Hong Kong jewellery group Chow Tai Fook is the most valuable Chinese brand at number 26, with 3.9 billion dollars. It is followed by sportswear brand Anta (35), gold jeweller Laopu Gold (46), down jacket specialist Bosideng (50) and sportswear brand Li Ning (67). From Japan, UNIQLO's sister brand GU enters the list at number 68.
Brands, not companies
The index ranks brands rather than companies. When a group owns several brands, its value is divided among them. That is why several Inditex brands now appear in the list next to Zara, including Bershka (62), Stradivarius (65), Pull&Bear (76) and Massimo Dutti (85). In the same way, Kering's Yves Saint Laurent (45) and Bottega Veneta (77), and LVMH's Celine (42), Loewe (64) and Givenchy (69) appear as separate brands.
