Aeffe: revival proposal confirmed with investment of over 100 million euros

The presence of a consortium involved in the revival project for the Aeffe Group has been confirmed at Italy's Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), as part of the negotiated crisis settlement procedure. The luxury company, headquartered in San Giovanni in Marignano in the province of Rimini, owns historic brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Moschino and Pollini.

Objective is to protect more than 700 jobs

“The consortium involves Invitalia, the Oxy Fund, an Italian industrial entity and a Chinese industrial partner, with the support of the Ferretti family, the Group's current owner. The Chinese partner would participate in the operation with a minority stake and no governance rights. This partner would provide industrial expertise and a commercial presence to open new opportunities in Asian markets, particularly in China,” reads a note from MIMIT yesterday.

Investor's proposal and business plan will be presented in the first week of October

The proposal has a total value of more than 100 million euros. It aims to guarantee the group's industrial continuity through the purchase of the entire business complex, preserving its production and employment assets. The objective is to protect more than 700 jobs, the note continues.

The project also includes enhancing the group's historic brands. As part of the deal, there is the possibility of granting the Chinese industrial partner an exclusive licence for the Moschino brand for the Chinese market. This aims to strengthen its presence and further develop its commercial potential in the country.

According to the programme shared at the meeting, the investor's proposal and its business plan will be presented in the first week of October. A new meeting at MIMIT is scheduled for November 4.
