India’s leading integrated textile and branded apparel company, Arvind Limited, has reported a growth in the consolidated revenue by 4 per cent at Rs 2,157 crores for the quarter ended 31 December 2015. In the same period last year, the revenue was Rs 2,074 crores.

The consolidated EBITDA was marginally lower at Rs 281 crores as against Rs 288 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Profit after tax was marginally lower at Rs 105 crores as compared to Rs 112 crores in the same quarter last year.

Jayesh Shah, Director and Chief Financial Officer, is happy that despite a very challenging domestic market, the performance of the quarter was satisfactory. He is now confident that following improvements in consumer sentiments, performance in quarter 4 will be stronger than corresponding quarter.

Arvind is a textile manufacturer and the flagship company of the Arvind Group. Based in Ahmedabad, it produces cotton shirting, denim, knits and bottomweights fabrics. It is touted as India’s biggest denim manufacturer apart from the world’s fourth largest producer and exporter of denim.
