Asos posts jump in annual profit

Total sales at Asos Plc grew by 19 percent to 3,263.5 million pounds and profit before tax increased to 142.1 million pounds, an increase of 109 million pounds for the year to August 31, 2020. The company said in a statement that active customer base grew by 3.1million to 23.4 million, up 15 percent from the previous year. EBIT for the year increased 116 million pounds to 151.1 million pounds and equated to a margin of 4.6 percent, up 330bps year on year.
