eBay offers 200,000 pounds in grants to support young entrepreneurs
eBay's UK arm is offering up to 200,000 pounds in grants to support young entrepreneurs and help established sellers create opportunities for young people.
The second edition of its Up & Running Grants programme will provide up to 20 businesses with 10,000 pounds each. The scheme is open to entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 building businesses on eBay, alongside existing sellers looking to create jobs, apprenticeships or placements for young talent.
Successful applicants will also receive up to six months of dedicated account management and premium customer service, alongside access to eBay’s Young Entrepreneur community and selected events during 2027. Applications opened September 16 and close October 30, with recipients announced in January 2027.
Eve Williams, general manager of eBay UK, said: “The UK has no shortage of entrepreneurial ambition, and I’m constantly inspired by the young entrepreneurs I see building businesses on eBay across everything from sneakers and watches to electronics and trading cards. But turning an idea or side hustle into a thriving business takes the right backing.
“This year’s eBay Up & Running Grants are about giving young British entrepreneurs the funding, tools and support they need to take the next step, while helping established businesses create opportunities for the next generation.”
