Ethnic brand Soch, has decided to start retailing products in countries like the US, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Indonesia, Malayasia and UAE by April this year. Much like global fashion brands testing waters in India through the e-commerce route, Soch too would test-market its products via online medium before opening physical stores in these countries.

The brand is looking at about Rs 240 crores revenue. The e-commerce portal launched six months back in India contributes around 7 percent to the total sales. The company, as of now retails products through 54 company-owned stores, including three franchise outlets. The plan is to take the number to 10-15 franchise stores in India by next fiscal year. Apart from catering to international destinations through its online portal, the company would also look at opening franchise stores in UAE, Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada and the US.

The brand has seen an annual growth of 46 percent for the last five years and plans to maintain the momentum of 40-50 percent next fiscal. It would open about 35 new stores in 2015-16.
