IndiaMart aims to grow business through MSMEs

The country’s largest online marketplace IndiaMart that provides a platform to connect buyers with suppliers, aims to grow its business by partnering with MSMEs from an estimated Rs 20,000 crores in 2014-15, to Rs 30,000 crores in FY-16. The platform has also signed in actor Irrfan Khan as the company’s brand ambassador.

IndiaMart has been supporting new entrepreneurs offering them offers them an end-to-end package using web and mobile platforms, to connect with the buyers of any requirements. In a highly competitive ecommerce space, IndiaMart is eyeing steady growth by innovating with its products and services. The online marketplace offers a platform and tools to over 14 million buyers to search from over 25.7 million products and get connected with over 1.8 million suppliers. Founded in 1996, the company’s investors include Intel Capital and Bennett, Coleman & Co.

The company recently appointed Prateek Chandra as its Chief Finance Officer. In his new role, Chandra will be responsible for managing the company's financial growth, driving key business initiatives and playing an integral role in ensuring the organization's success going forward.
