Fashion e-tailer Jabong has reported the highest ever net revenue growth of 35 per cent for January 2016. This is the highest ever since the time it started operations. Jabong is a leading online fashion retailer and one of the five fashion e-commerce operating within the Global Fashion Group. Jade eServices, which runs Jabong in India, registered the highest ever growth statistics with an additional growth of 20 per cent in the Jabong app.

With the lowest cash burn in the last 24 months despite the sale period, Jabong is now targeting to be India’s first e-commerce company to break even without compromising its top line. Jabong’s growth in 2014-15 was 98 per cent, nearly 20 per cent more than its closest rival. Its losses shrunk to 40 per cent less than its competitor’s.

Sanjeev Mohanty, CEO and MD, Jabong, says that January has become their most successful month where consumers, shareholders, business partners and competitors are given a glimpse of the future of Jabong. He noted that the basics of business remains the same across traditional and digital ecommerce if one has a strong grasp of the fundamentals of the business. He thanked his team for their untiring efforts to make this success possible. He added that the company touched USD66 million in GMV in January itself, thus positioning them as the largest e-commerce company in India with a ‘robust growth of 56 per cent in our gross orders and 59 per cent in gross items.’
