Online fashion retailer Jabong announced a new partnership with international fashion retailer Mexx. The brand’s collection will be available on the site. This is an exclusive tie-up.
Sanjeev Mohanty, CEO and Managing Director, Jabong believes that both Jabong and Mexx share the same philosophies. This tie-up is a continuation of their expansion plans and offerings to Indian consumers. The company has other players as well in the pipeline. Even for Umit Eroglu, CEO, Mexx, the tie-up is a great opportunity to partner with a knowledgeable retailer and optimise their online presence. Also, he is confident that the global brand awareness and outstanding price quality mix of the collections will make the brand desirable.
The Mexx Spring-Summer 16 collection, available online, is inspired by street, collection and atelier. In the past Jabong has launched high-street brands such as Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Missguided among others. Also, Jabong’s loss shrank to about a third in 2015 from a year earlier after a clampdown on discounts which also slowed sales growth to 7 per cent.
