Karl Lagerfeld signs footwear licensing deal

Karl Lagerfeld has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with Overland Shoes for the design and distribution of its men’s and women’s footwear in Europe and the Middle East.
The first collection will launch for autumn/winter 2017, with deliveries set to hit stores from June 2017. The collection will be showcased to key retailers in December, and will be also be available at Karl Lagerfeld stores and online at Karl.com.
The deal will see design teams from both brands working in “close collaboration” in creating collections under the artistic direction of Karl Lagerfeld, and they will feature signature design details that appear across of all the label’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections.
Karl Lagerfeld chief executive Pier Paolo Righi, said: “We are continuously expanding our offering as a fashion lifestyle brand, and our licensing agreement with Overland Shoes Ltd. represents a fantastic opportunity to grow our footwear collections in Europe and the Middle East.
