Lovable Lingerie profit soars 150.94 percent in March quarter

Net profit of Lovable Lingerie rose 150.94 percent to Rs 1.33 crore in the quarter ended March 2015 against Rs 0.53 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2014. Sales increased 16.26 percent to Rs 25.53 crores compared to Rs 21.96 crores during the previous quarter, last year.

For the full year, net profit declined 6.81 percent to Rs 19.72 crores in the year ended March 2015 against Rs 21.16 crores reported last year. Sales increased 8.43 percent to Rs 172.37 crores against Rs 158.97 crores during the previous year ended March 2014.

Incorporated in 1987, Lovable Lingerie is one of India’s leading women’s innerwear manufacturers, producing brassieres, panties, slips/camisoles, homewear, shapewear, foundation garments and sleepwear products. In December 2000, the company acquired brand ‘Lovable’ from Lovable World Trading Company, USA for the territories of India, Nepal, Sikkim and Bhutan. As a part of its growth strategy, it acquired Daisy Dee from Maxwell Industries, to cater to the mid segment in India. The company has also in the past marketed the Vanity Fair brand of women’s innerwear garments.
