Madura F&L to develop greenfield garment unit in Odisha

Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, a part of Aditya Birla Group plans to establish a greenfield garment manufacturing unit in Odisha. It has finalized six to eight acres of developed land in Mancheswar industrial area in the city along with other incentive and concessions for developing the facility.

The largest player in premium branded apparel segment having brands like Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Louis Philippe and Peter England under its portfolio, the company has planned an investment of Rs 75 crores in three phases with an overall production capacity of 4.2 million pieces per annum for the Odisha unit. The company is looking at creating 11 ancillary units around the proposed plant that include three washing units, three goods packaging units and five embroidery units.

Madura F&L recently roped in Fitch Singapore to create a world-class retail experience for Van Heusen. Van Heusen is a premium lifestyle brand for men, women and youth in India, with over 250 exclusive stores across 100 top Indian cities.
