Mandhana Retail Ventures, the retail arm of Mandhana Industries, which manufactures and retails the brand Being Human, plans to ink partnerships with more such brands. It’s also looking at the possibility of launching its own label. Its parent company exports textile and garments to popular global apparel brands. Being Human was its first partnership with a charitable trust under the same name set up by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, for the domestic market.

It has set the stage for the company to launch more retail brands. Mandhana now plans to expand presence of Being Human into more categories, sign licensing deals with global brands while launching a home-grown brand of its own. Being Human currently retails through over 500 points of sale. And Mandhana's textile division exports to big brands like: H&M, Marks & Spencer, Abercrombie & Fitch and Banana Republic. It also retails Being Human in international destinations like Europe, West Asia, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The company now aims to have 60 exclusive stores of Being Human Clothing by March 2016, through a combination of own and franchise outlets. Mandhana recently announced plans to go for a demerger scheme with stock exchanges and the High Court. Subject to approval, the retail business comprising its Being Human and other brands, would be known as Mandhana Retail Ventures.
