Me+Em accelerates US retail expansion as full-year sales reach 190 million pounds

British modern luxury womenswear brand Me+Em has announced its financial results for the year ended January 2026, driven by continued global expansion and accelerating international demand.

The Group reported a 29 percent increase in revenues to 190 million pounds (254 million dollars), up from 147.9 million pounds in 2025. Gross profit rose 28 percent to 105 million pounds compared to 82 million pounds in the previous year, while operating profit increased 30 percent to 26 million pounds, up from 20 million pounds. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew 53 percent to 37 million pounds, compared to 24.2 million pounds in 2025.

“We have always been passionate about democratising luxury for busy women of all ages,” stated founder and chief executive officer, Clare Hornby. “Strong revenue growth, and accelerating demand for our clothes globally, tells us there is a genuine appetite for our British modern luxury proposition. We see a huge opportunity ahead of us as we move into this next chapter of growth and are delighted with the confidence Highland has shown in the business, and their continued partnership.”

Expands retail presence in the US

US revenue increased by 39 percent to 65 million pounds, up from 47.3 million pounds in 2025. Growth in the region was driven by double-digit online sales growth and the opening of three new retail locations, including stores in Greenwich, Connecticut, and North Beverly Drive, California. All US stores were profitable in their first year of trading, generating significant like-for-like (LFL) sales growth in their second year. Over a three-year period, the brand expanded its active US customer base by 285 percent from financial year 2024 to financial year 2026, while VIP customers in the country grew 393 percent over the same period.

Performance was supported by focus on core product categories including trousers, accessories, and occasion wear. The Group reported that 46 percent of all customers placed a second order, which is 25 percentage points above the industry average. Almost half of active customers purchased trousers, with the brand selling one pair every minute over the full year.

Investor confidence strengthens as Highland Europe increases stake

Following the financial results, growth investor Highland Europe (Highland), the UK-based investment firm behind Huel, GetYourGuide, and Zwift, increased its shareholding in the Group. Having initial investment built in 2022, Highland has seen Group revenue and EBITDA more than triple over a four-year period.

“We are thrilled to be doubling down on Me+Em,” said Highland partner, Helena Richardson. “Most apparel brands sell clothes; Me+Em sells the outfit. Clare and the team are obsessive about making getting dressed effortless — what Clare calls ‘Fashion Building Blocks’, pieces designed to work together seamlessly within and across collections. This translates to phenomenal customer loyalty that is among the best we see in consumer. The American customer has caught on, and we still see significant runway in the US market.”

Trading momentum and expansion plans

Trading momentum continued past the period end, with rolling 12-month global revenue increasing 24 percent year-over-year (YoY) to 215 million pounds for the period spanning October 2025 to September 2026. US revenues grew 48 percent YoY to 84 million pounds over the same 12 months.

European online operations also delivered growth, with financial year 2027 year-to-date revenue up 96 percent in Germany and 35 percent in France YoY.

By the end of 2026, the Group plans to open three additional stores across the US. Looking ahead to 2027, international brick and mortar expansion will include the opening of a permanent store in Paris during the second half of the year. US retail expansion will continue with new stores confirmed in Houston and a second location in Los Angeles, alongside further site selections in progress.

In April 2026, Me+Em was granted a Royal Warrant by Appointment of Her Majesty Queen Camilla. Hornby was also named in The King’s Birthday Honours List in June 2026, receiving an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to the fashion industry, recognizing contributions to direct-to-consumer (D2C) luxury innovation.
