Roposo gets a funding boost from Tiger Global

Gurgaon-based Relevant e-solutions, owner of Roposo has got 15 million dollars (around Rs 95 crores) in funding from Tiger Global after recently getting 5 million dollars (Rs 32 crores) in series A from the New York-based investor.

Earlier, the company had raised one million dollars (over Rs 600 crores) through a bridge round from its existing investors, including Binny Bansal and seed fund India Quotient. The startup had previously raised under 5,00,000 dollars (around Rs three crore) in its first round of funding from Bansal and India Quotient, besides 5ideas Startup Superfuel, for its other entity Giveter.

Gurgaon-based Roposo, founded by three IIT- Delhi graduates Mayank Bhangadia, Avinash Saxena and Kaushal Shubhank in December 2013, will utilise the fresh capital to strengthen its technological infrastructure while revamping the product assortment on offer. The Roposo founders had earlier started a gifting website Giveter in 2012, which exists as a separate brand. Roposo is a fashion-focused social network that allows women to discover and shop new products. All of these products are curated and recommended to each user as per shopper’s individual taste.
