RSWM reports 15 percent revenue growth in second quarter

Indian textile manufacturer RSWM Limited (RSWM) has announced its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, delivering a 15 percent increase in revenue year-over-year (YoY) to 13.22 billion rupees. Total income for the period rose 14.9 percent to 13.32 billion rupees, supported by disciplined cost management and an improved product mix.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) reached 1.16 billion rupees, up 47.1 percent compared with the same period last year. The group’s EBITDA margin expanded by 191 percentage points YoY to 8.7 percent. Net profit after tax stood at 250 million rupees, representing an increase from 60 million rupees reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Operational efficiency drives margins

The gains were achieved despite market headwinds, including volatile raw material costs, supply chain shifts, and higher freight and energy expenses. RSWM attributed the performance to internal restructuring measures implemented across its yarn and fabric operations.

“The progress achieved during Q2 FY27 reflects the positive impact of our efforts to enhance business performance,” stated RSWM chairman and managing director, Riju Jhunjhunwala. “Growth in topline, alongside improvements in profitability and margins, demonstrates the benefits of measures introduced under our RSWM 2.0 initiative. Going forward, we aim to build on this progress by strengthening capabilities, improving productivity and expanding our presence in value-added segments to meet evolving customer expectations.”

For the first half of the financial year, total income rose 6.9 percent YoY to 25.02 billion rupees. EBITDA for the six-month period climbed 31.4 percent to 2.10 billion rupees, while net profit grew to 410 million rupees.

Garment expansion and sustainability

During the period, RSWM entered a strategic joint venture with Spain-based design and marketing firm NDS9 through LNJ NDS9 Global Private Limited. The partnership expands RSWM’s core denim fabric operations directly into finished garment manufacturing.

“This venture marks a strategic extension of RSWM’s denim business into finished garments, combining our manufacturing infrastructure with NDS9’s strengths in design and marketing,” said RSWM joint managing director, Rajeev Gupta. Gupta noted that global market conditions remain defined by fluctuating input pricing and shifting international trade routes.

RSWM is also scaling operations through its recycled fibre arm, LNJ GreenPet Private Limited, as part of an ongoing environmental strategy. The company maintains 11 manufacturing facilities across India, exporting yarns and fabrics to more than 70 international markets.
