Scarecrow bags Spykar’s creative duties

Scarecrow Communications’ Mumbai office has bagged the creative mandate for denim brand Spykar following a multi-agency pitch process. The brand’s product range consists of demins, shirts, T-shirts, perfumes, eyewear and youth accessories.

“Spykar is a brand that is not just synonymous with jeanswear, but is also a voice that resonates with the youth, their dreams and aspirations. We partnered with Scarecrow because we found the same passion running in their bloodstreams as in ours. We found the team to understanding needs and aspirations of the youth of the country and were very sincere in their approach,” said Sanjay Vakharia, COO, Spykar.

Homegrown denim brand Spykar Lifestyles, in which Metamin picked up a majority stake last year, is planning to expand its product basket as well as retail presence. The company aims to double its exclusive stores from 206 to over 400 in Tier III and Tier IV towns, over the next three years. As of now, the products are sold at over 1,000 point of sales across leading lifestyles stores such as Shopper’s Stop, Globus, Lifesytyle, Pantaloon, and Pyaramids.
