Visagar revenues up 20 per cent

For the quarter ended June 2015, Visagar Polytex’s revenues were up 20.12 per cent compared to the same quarter last year. The company’s net profit witnessed a 26.26 per cent growth compared to the quarter ended June ’15. Visagar markets its products under the brand name ‘Vividha’ and currently has a 2,000 sq. ft. flagship store in Kolkata. The company recently opened a showroom in Jaipur.

Visagar Polytex has huge expansion plans and aims to increase its retail store footprints to Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra. It plans to open about 200 stores in the next three years. The company currently has 13 stores in Rajasthan, West Bengal and Gujarat and also has a wholesale presence in about 1,500 stores.Mumbai-based Visagar is engaged in the manufacturing, retail and trading of women’s ethnic wear like saris, lehengas , suits.

Visagar has a fully integrated business model from inception to final sale of the product. This ensures standardisation in quality of products and enhances the inherent knowledge resource and capabilities of the organisation thereby securing and strengthening the long term prospects of the company. It’s the only company in the ethnic segment to be listed on the stock exchange.
