The 8th edition of Brand Licensing India will commence on October 18, 2015 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Touted as Asia's biggest business opportunity show, the two-day program will have seminars and awards supported by LIMA and Bradford License India.

Different sessions having panel of global experts from brand licensing arena will deliberate over ‘How to win @ retail with licensing’, ‘maximising effectiveness of licensing program’, ‘exploring new horizons with various kinds of licensing’ and so on. The delegates at event will consist of brand owners; potential licensors; strategic planners; retailers; product sourcing and developing professionals; e-commerce professionals; new media professionals; students of brand strategy and development; among others.

The Brand Licensing Conference 2015 aims to create a platform having targeted information and knowledge to take businesses to the next level with new strategies, innovative ideas and practical solutions covering everything from retailing strategies to the legal side of licensing to extending brand into new categories and retail.

While the licensing industry worldwide is estimated to be worth over 200 billion dollars (over 13,000 crores), it is still at a nascent stage in India. Fashion retailers stand ahead of the pack, with 25 percent of organised retailers using licensing strategy to widen their merchandise offerings. Character licensing, celebrity licensing and movie based merchandising are increasingly gaining popularity in India.
