Amity School of Fashion Technology to host fashion conference

Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) is organising a ‘National Conference on Fashion Apparel & Textile 2016’ (NCFAT) on March 4, 2016 at the Amity University’s Noida campus.

The conference will discuss recent developments of various textile materials, emerging technology, functional clothing and the changing scenario of fashion retail. The various themes to be covered include: Innovation in design as key differentiator in fashion business; Innovative textile materials for new age apparel; Functional and smart clothing; Evolving technologies for growth of apparel sector; Paradigm shift in fashion retail and marketing and Make in India: Role of textile and apparel sector. The aim of the conference is to bring together academicians, researchers and experts in the field of fashion, apparel and textile so as to facilitate, interact and exchange views and support development.

ASFT strives to provide provide professional education in the field of design, technology and management of fashion, textile and apparel industry. Its larger aim is to create professionals who can understand the dynamics of global business environment of the fashion and apparel industry in a post liberalised economy.
