Deauville to host Chanel's next cruise show

As it prepares to unveil its spring/summer 2027 collection during Paris Fashion Week, the house of Chanel has announced the location for its next show, for its cruise 2027/2028 collection. The presentation will take place in Deauville, a town dear to the founder's heart.

The event will be held on April 27, 2027, according to information from the house of Chanel. Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion activities at the house, also noted in a statement that it was in Deauville that “Gabrielle Chanel introduced her first fashion pieces, a turning point in the history of the Maison”.

This will be the second cruise collection by Matthieu Blazy, the artistic director who joined the illustrious fashion house in 2025. His appointment has revived its aura.

“We look forward to discovering Matthieu Blazy’s perspective on this location,” added Pavlovsky. This anticipation is shared by a wide audience of consumers and professionals who are closely watching the artistic director's work. In just a few shows, Blazy has managed to generate excitement from both the press and buyers.

In her review of Chanel's last cruise show for Vogue, critic Sarah Mower wrote: “To say that anticipation was high is an understatement. It is not an exaggeration to say that this 41-year-old Franco-Belgian, [Matthieu Blazy], lived up to it, and then some.”

According to data reported by AFP, Chanel returned to growth in 2025 thanks to demand in Europe and the Americas. It successfully navigated a slowdown in the global luxury market. The company reported sales of 19.3 billion dollars (+3 percent, +1.8 percent on a like-for-like basis), boosted by growth across all its activities.
